Heritage Live Festivals Canceled Due to Financial Woes

GCE Live has abruptly canceled three summer music festivals set to take place on historic English estates, attributing the decision to escalating costs and disappointing ticket sales. The Heritage Live series was scheduled to showcase Christina Aguilera, Eric Clapton, and Lionel Richie at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk (August); Scissor Sisters at Audley End Estate in Essex (August); and Richard Ashcroft at Englefield Estate in Berkshire (July). A financial rescue plan fell through, making it unfeasible to proceed. The independent promoter pointed to competition from larger companies as a factor in rising costs for artists, suppliers, and staff, alongside the cost of living crisis impacting ticket sales. Organizer Giles Cooper OBE, who chairs the Royal Variety Charity, thanked customers for their support over the past ten years and stated that ticket agents would process refunds promptly.
