Heritage Auctions to Sell Alan Bean's Space Artifacts in July Sale
Heritage Auctions will hold a Space Exploration Signature Auction on July 23-24, featuring the Estate of Alan Bean, the Apollo 12 astronaut and only artist to paint the Moon from firsthand experience. The collection includes artifacts, documents, and memorabilia from Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Space Shuttle programs. Bean (1932-2018) walked on the Moon on November 19, 1969, as the fourth human to do so, and later commanded Skylab.
