Heritage Auctions to Host Ultimate Star Wars Auction Featuring Rare Lightsabers and Props
So, on November 12, Heritage Auctions is putting together this Ultimate Star Wars Auction, and it's going to have all kinds of collectibles from Episodes I through IX, plus some stuff from newer films and TV shows. They're auctioning off screen-used props, life-sized figures of characters, a flawless 330-card set from the 1977 Topps series, vintage Kenner action figures, original artwork, and signed movie posters. The star of the show is the biggest collection of Star Wars lightsabers ever, featuring famous weapons from both Jedi and Sith. Among the highlights is Darth Vader’s authentic dueling lightsaber from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. This follows a huge sale in July where Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber and severed hand effects rig went for $3.75 million. Collectors are definitely going to have their eyes on the Vader lightsaber!
