Heritage Auctions to Hold Western and Texas Art Sales in June
Heritage Auctions will host two consecutive sales in June 2025: a Western Art Signature Auction on June 18 and a Texas Art Signature Auction on June 26. The Western Art Auction is led by Fritz Scholder's monumental painting Indian Sitting on Bed (1974). Scholder, a member of the Luiseño Tribe, rejected romanticized stereotypes of Native Americans in his work.
