HCCH Studio Completes Xi Bridge Installation in Shanghai's Huashan Greenland

HCCH Studio has designed and constructed the Xi Bridge, also known as the Bridge of Happiness, in Huashan Greenland, Shanghai. The architectural installation spans a stream and integrates with the surrounding trees. It functions both as an accessible pathway from the city street to the central lawn and as a ceremonial space within the park, serving dual purposes as infrastructure and a site for rituals. The project was completed in 2025, covers an area of 40 square meters, and was curated by Han Shuang. Photography was handled by Fangfang Tian, with structural design by Chongchong Zhang and a design team including Hao Chen, Chenchen Hu, Yazhou Ding, Jiaqi Liu, Yifan Zhu, Feng Qi, Qisen Yang, and Yuhang Zheng.
