Group exhibition 'Everything looks dark now' at Bel Ami features 11 artists through April 2026

Currently on display at Bel Ami in Los Angeles is a group exhibition called 'Everything looks dark now,' showcasing the works of eleven contemporary artists. Featured artists include Erin Calla Watson, Lauren Satlowski, Leigh Ruple, Alexandra Noel, Ian Miyamura, Soshiro Matsubara, Dana Lok, Guillaume Dénervaud, Grichka Commaret, Camille Blatrix, and Sebastian Black. The exhibition draws inspiration from a monologue in Anton Chekhov's play 'The Seagull,' where the character Nina envisions a world devoid of life, illuminated only by a futile moon. She embodies the collective essence of extinct beings, merging the consciousness of historical figures with animal instincts. This monologue highlights a philosophical struggle between matter and spirit, with Nina asserting her role as the eternal world-soul. The exhibition will be open until April 25, 2026.
