Grigoris Semitecolo Exhibition at Ramiken Gallery in New York

An exhibition featuring the work of Greek artist Grigoris Semitecolo is on view at Ramiken gallery in New York until April 11, 2026. Semitecolo, a Cycladic artist active since the 1960s, is known for his unconventional paintings and sculptures that blend ancient Cycladic references with surreal modern elements. The show includes works from the 1990s depicting Cycladic viola sculptures alongside architectural forms like the World Trade Center towers, as well as earlier metal junk sculptures from 1962. Semitecolo was also involved in experimental performances, including the 1985 'Cosmic Anatomy' happenings on Samos island with composer Jani Christou. The exhibition is curated by Stamatia Dimitrakopoulos.
