Gregory Santos: Miami Designer Blends Storytelling and Experimentalism

Gregory Santos, hailing from Miami Beach, is the founder of Studio Santos and the operations lead at S. Lab. His approach to design emphasizes crafting vibrant environments that build trust, interpreting spaces as stories. Among his recent endeavors is the renovation of a century-old property in Miami, originally designed by August Geiger, a key figure in the development of Carl Fisher’s Miami Beach. Santos aims to modernize the residence while maintaining its 1920s Mediterranean essence. At S. Lab, he is curating a private hospitality experience in the South of France, aimed at fostering dialogue and exploration. His portfolio ranges from lush penthouses in Costa Rica to engaging hospitality projects, drawing inspiration from figures like Frank Gehry and artisans of Lesage. His studio features a snack bar, a medicine-ball desk chair, and his dog Mia, with a preference for marble, high-rises, and soft lighting. An undisclosed project is expected to launch in 2026.
