Goodman: A New Font Revives a 1970s Serif Classic
Designer Ethan Nakache has released Goodman, a contemporary typeface inspired by the Gesh Ortega Roman 275 font created by Gerhard Shwekendiek in 1972. Nakache discovered the original font four years ago and developed Goodman with support from Daniel McQueel, founder of The Designers Foundry. The new font includes six weights, matching italics, and a variable font format. Nakache focused on preserving the original's character while improving usability and flexibility.
