Goethe-Institut and Casa Planas Announce 2026 Artist Residency Program in Mallorca

Casa Planas in Mallorca and the Goethe-Institut Barcelona have launched the eighth edition of their joint artist residency program for 2026. The initiative offers two research and creation fellowships focused on interpreting the tourist imagery of the Balearic Islands. Selected participants will work with the Planas Archive's documentary collection, receiving curatorial support and potential publication opportunities. The residency runs from June 29 to September 15, 2026, with applications due by March 30, 2026. Each fellowship provides €2,700, travel support up to €500, and accommodation. The program targets contemporary art professionals from Germany and the Balearic Islands, with selection criteria emphasizing original proposals that explore cultural connections between the regions.
