exhibition · 2026-07-16

Glasstire's weekly roundup highlights five Texas exhibitions. At Galveston Artist Residency, the '2026 Annual Artists in Residence Exhibition' (through July 18) features Germán Benincore (born 1993, Bogotá), Aliyah Cydonia (UNT BFA graduate), and Francesca Fuchs (born London, raised Münster, Core Program alumna, Houston since 1996). At Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts in Lubbock, 'Hillerbrand+Magsamen with Kirk Lynn: Expand' (through August 1) presents 'Domestic Archaeology,' treating the artists' former home as an archaeological site. Ro2 Art in Dallas hosts 'Emergent-Z' (through July 20), curated by Susan Roth Romans, featuring Texas Gen-Z artists. McLennon Pen Co. Gallery in Austin presents 'Rosie Clements & Peter McRury: Surface Tension' (through July 26), exploring image degradation through UV-printed photographs on bubble wrap and airbrushed acrylic on linen. Sabine Street Studios in Houston shows 'Rebecca Pugh: To the Horizon' (through July 25), with paintings abstracting Texas landscapes including an 18-foot-long installation inspired by a drought-fence memory.
