Glasstire Commissions Portraits of Texas Art World Pillars
For its 25th anniversary, Glasstire is commissioning photographers to document over 80 influential figures in Texas art. The fifth round of portraits, tied to the 'Cultural Pillars: Museums & Institutions' theme, features curators, directors, and cultural workers including Dennis Nance (Galveston Arts Center), Andrea Karnes (Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth), Annette Carlozzi (retired Blanton Museum of Art), Chris Cowden (Women & Their Work, Austin), Riley Robinson (Artpace, San Antonio), Patrick Kelly (Old Jail Art Center, Albany), Linda Cullum and Lindsey Maestri (LHUCA, Lubbock), Deana Craighead (Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum), Alex Gregory (Amarillo Museum of Art), Caleb Bell (Tyler Museum of Art), and Brian Wedgworth and Aleida García (Titan Studio, Harlingen). The images will be shared throughout 2026.
