Ginevra Lamberti's German Reading Tour for New Novel

Italian author Ginevra Lamberti, born 1985 in San Patrigrano, is embarking on a reading tour across Germany to present her newly published novel "Das Wasser wiegt schwerer als die Zeit" (The Water Weighs Heavier Than Time). The novel follows an eight-year-old girl named Dalia who, after an accident, finds her parents missing and her home destroyed, taking refuge with an elderly woman named Fioranna who teaches her survival skills. As a teenager, Dalia journeys to a mountain village of wells where water is still available and community bonds are strong, but danger lurks. Lamberti, who lives in Rome and Vittorio Veneto, has published four acclaimed novels and short stories. Her second novel "Perché comincio dalla fine" won the Premio Mondello in 2020. Her previous work "Der Aufruhr unserer Herzen" was released by Piper in 2024 to critical acclaim. She also writes for Vanity Fair and Domani. The tour includes stops at Italian Cultural Institutes in Hamburg (June 8), Cologne (June 11), and Stuttgart (June 12), as well as the Literaturhaus Schleswig Holstein in Kiel (June 9) and a theater in Münster (June 10).
