Gigi Lemieux Featured as Artist of the Week at Palmer Museum

Gigi Lemieux was highlighted as Artist of the Week by the Palmer Museum on July 24, 2020. The feature showcased several of her mixed-media works, including pieces titled 'I Got Jingo,' 'Flamethrower,' 'Electric Soul,' 'Deep Diver,' and '1959.' Lemieux, an artist based in Alaska, draws inspiration from the state's natural diversity and its residents. Her creative practice spans various mediums such as painting, woodwork, drawing, poetry, and furniture design. One of her works, a colorful burl slab depicting a supernatural Alaskan scene, is currently displayed at the Palmer Museum.
