Gianni Berengo Gardin Exhibition Features Venice Views from Historic Window

An exhibition at Palazzo Flangini in Venice presents photographs by Gianni Berengo Gardin taken from the same windows where Renaissance writer Pietro Aretino once lived. Curated by Denis Curti for the Fondazione di Venezia, the show displays approximately sixty black-and-white analog images captured with the photographer's customized Leica. These works, donated by Berengo Gardin in 2021, depict Venetian scenes and include his only known digital photograph. The exhibition runs through June 30, 2026, offering free admission. It highlights the photographer's deep connection to Venice and his documentary approach, emphasizing unchanged urban beauty across centuries.
