Get Set Procreate: A Practical Guide for iPad Illustration Reviewed

Packt Publishing has released the second edition of Get Set Procreate, a practical guide for illustrating on an iPad, authored by Samadrita Ghosh. The 498-page paperback, priced at USD 49, includes a free PDF version, while the Kindle edition costs USD 29. Published in August 2026, this edition covers Procreate 5.4, encompassing features introduced in versions 5.2 and 5.4, such as Page Assist, 3D model painting, and a new brush library. The book is positioned as a comprehensive resource for beginners, detailing all drawing tools and features available in the Procreate app. Although Procreate is widely popular and free tutorials abound on YouTube, the book's advantage lies in consolidating learning materials into a single package.
