German Hospital Treats US Ebola Patient from DR Congo
A US citizen who contracted the Bundibugyo variant of Ebola while working for a humanitarian organization in the Democratic Republic of Congo is being treated at a German hospital. The patient arrived at the special isolation unit around 3am local time. The hospital stated there is no risk to the public or other patients, as the individual is in complete isolation in a unit structurally and organizationally separated from the rest of the facility. Timo Wolf, head of the isolation unit, reported that the patient's condition is currently stable. The US CDC confirmed the case on Friday.
