Genti Korini to Present 'A Place in the Sun' for Albania at 61st Venice Biennale

Genti Korini will showcase his new moving-image installation, 'A Place in the Sun,' at the 61st Venice Biennale, under the curation of Małgorzata Ludwisiak. This piece delves into Zaum, a transrational language created by Russian Futurist poets in the early 1900s, employing video, performance, puppetry, animation, and an original score to form a speculative theater. Korini contemplates Albania as a 'somewhere place' influenced by external views and exotic interpretations, linking modern anxieties to historical uncertainties from a century prior. His installation aligns with the Biennale's theme, 'In Minor Keys,' emphasizing marginalized narratives.
