Genor Sales Presents New Watercolor Series Exploring Cerrado Rivers and Memory in São Paulo

Artist Genor Sales from Goiás is presenting his first solo exhibition in São Paulo at Galeria Almeida & Dale. Titled 'O rio no qual se nada com os olhos,' the show features previously unseen watercolors that examine the symbolic and material connections between rivers, everyday objects, and traditional knowledge from Brazil's Cerrado region. Curated by Divino Sobral, the exhibition uses water as a central theme to explore cultural memory and social experience. The works depict items like clay filters, amphorae, and fish suspended in aqueous atmospheres created by the fluidity of the watercolor medium. The exhibition runs from January 24 to March 28, 2026.
