Genesis Belanger's Uncanny Sculptures Land in City Hall Park

Genesis Belanger's public art commission 'Heads or Tails' opens in Manhattan's City Hall Park, presented by Public Art Fund. The exhibition features large-scale works including pastel-hued concrete birds in a fountain, potted plants on dollies, and two cast-bronze reinterpretations of Lady Justice. One figure holds a mirror, the other presents hands at different heights. Belanger's ceramic works, known for critiquing consumption and capitalism, now venture outdoors. New pieces like 'Dreams of the Luddite' and 'Care-taken' address technology anxiety and contemporary dilemmas. The artist's work is also on view at Perrotin in the group show 'Touch Grass' through July 2026. 'Heads or Tails' runs through November 15, 2026.
