Gaza marks 1,000 days of war with over 2 million displaced

Gaza has reached 1,000 days of war since a Hamas-led attack on Israel sparked the conflict. Over 2 million Palestinians remain displaced amid ruins, with Israeli forces controlling over half of the territory under a ceasefire that took effect on October 10, now aiming for 70% control. Reconstruction is gridlocked, and further ceasefire steps like Hamas' disarmament have stalled. The International Committee of the Red Cross regional director Nicolas von Arx stated that much more needs to be done for normality to return. Palestinians continue to be killed, as mourners attended the funeral of three Palestinians, including a 10-year-old, killed in an Israeli strike.
