Gaurav Gupta's 'Light Song' Collection Explores Moon-Sun Duality

So, on July 17 in Mumbai, Gaurav Gupta, the Indian designer, showcased his latest collection called 'Light Song.' This collection was a labor of love, taking nine months to create with the help of over 200 skilled artisans. It features more than 70 couture pieces, which range from evening and daywear to bridal and menswear. 'Light Song' connects to his Spring/Summer 2026 Paris Haute Couture collection, 'The Divine Androgyne,' delving deeper into the theme of duality. The inspiration comes from an ancient Indian philosophy that sees the Moon and Sun as partners. The collection is divided into three parts: Lunar, Solar, and Cosmic Union, with Bollywood star Ananya Panday wrapping up the show in a stunning bridal gown decorated with hand-cut camellia petals.
