Galerie Sept Expands to Belgian Coastal Town Knokke with New Exhibition Space

Galerie Sept, founded by Florian Araïb in Brussels in 2018, has opened a second location in the Belgian seaside town of Knokke. The expansion was motivated by an established collector base along the coast and the town's role as a meeting point for European collectors from countries including Germany, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. The new gallery features a two-level space with five-meter-high ceilings and natural light, designed to support works ranging from minimal abstraction to sculptural pieces. Programming will continue the gallery's focus on dialogue between abstraction and figuration while allowing for more immersive exhibitions. Upcoming presentations include a solo exhibition by Juliette Clovis titled "Living Surface" in Knokke, featuring ceramic works with porcelain elements that explore transformation, and an exhibition by Sebastiaan Knot called "Projection Reflection" in Brussels, examining light through photographic and sculptural processes. The gallery is also collaborating with Sculpt Studio, a botanical design studio, to incorporate living installations into exhibitions. Araïb noted a trend toward more deliberate collecting and increased attention to artists with clearly articulated practices in the current art market.
