Gabriella Marcella's Riso Club Exhibition Showcases Global Risograph Art at Glasgow's Glue Factory Galleries

Gabriella Marcella, a Scottish-Italian designer and risograph enthusiast, has organized an exhibition at Glasgow's Glue Factory Galleries featuring international artists who use the Japanese printing device. The risograph, invented in the 1980s by Riso Kagaku under founder Noboru Hayama, produces vivid colors comparable to screenprints through an affordable process using soy inks for small print runs. Marcella founded Riso Club to connect users worldwide, including from New York, London, Damascus, Kyiv, Lille, and Lima. She describes her immediate connection to the machine's process, noting it shapes much of her aesthetic. The exhibition highlights work from this global community, showcasing the risograph's handmade feel and accessibility.
