Fundación Pedro Soler launched to preserve artist's legacy in Sorbas

The Fundación Pedro Soler has been created by the Sociedad de Amigos de Sorbas to safeguard the works of the artist in his native town. Soler plans to contribute his residence along with a selection of oils, ceramics, manuscripts, drawings, and sketches, including pieces from other artists. His historic hanging house in Sorbas will be transformed into the Casa Museo Pedro Soler, which will also host an artist residency. Born in 1942, Soler studied at the Escuela de Artes de Almería before relocating to Barcelona in 1962, where he co-founded El Velódromo. The foundation aims to catalog its collection, promote local artists, enhance cultural tourism, and preserve Sorbas's heritage. Soler is a founding member of the Sociedad, which publishes El Afa.
