Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso Grants €600,000 to Eight Cultural Projects Across Spain
The fourth edition of Alianzas para una democracia cultural has been launched by the Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso, which has chosen eight initiatives to receive funding of €600,000 over a period of up to three years. This year, the initiative attracted 150 submissions, showcasing a broader range of diversity. The selected projects engage cultural agents, local organizations, and community members in various environments, including rural, urban, and prison settings, utilizing multiple art forms. Notable locations include Ourense, Zamora, Zaragoza, Albacete, Vizcaya, Sevilla, Alicante, Granada, Tenerife, and Madrid. The chosen projects are No límite da Serra, De puertas afuera, Bujero, Amarí Gilda, Derecho al cante, Los verbos que faltan, Obrador de Medios populares, and Laboratorio de Cine Comunitario. Since 2020, the program has processed 509 applications and backed 27 projects aimed at fostering social change through art and food.
