Frank Trujillo Named Director of Thaw Conservation Center at Morgan Library

Francisco (Frank) Trujillo has been named the Sherman Fairchild Director of the Thaw Conservation Center at the Morgan Library & Museum. Having joined the institution in 2006 as an Associate Book Conservator, he advanced to Drue Heinz Book Conservator in 2018. Trujillo takes over from Maria L. Fredericks, who directed the center from 2018 until earlier this year. In his new position, he will manage the long-term preservation of the collection and enhance conservation initiatives. His experience includes working on notable works such as the Hours of Catherine of Cleves, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, and Paradise Lost by John Milton. Additionally, he has authored pieces on the Morgan's fifteenth-century Italian tarot cards and Coptic bookbinding, and he collaborates as a co-curator with Joshua O’Driscoll and Claire.
