Francesco Scognamiglio Fall 2026 Couture: A Hymn to Feminine Grace

Francesco Scognamiglio presented his fall 2026 haute couture collection, titled 'La Grazia' (grace), as a celebration of beauty and femininity. Inspired by the glamour of Studio 54 in the late '70s and the early '80s aesthetic, the collection referenced iconic figures such as David Bowie and Madonna. The opening gown featured hand-knotted pale pink ribbons forming a fragile armor. Hand-draped fabrics twisted around sculptural bustiers with pannier silhouettes created optical illusions, like a peach-colored top and matching column skirt appearing as a full gown. Lean dresses with gatherings and three-quarter sleeves were made from lightweight jersey, with a crystal-encrusted version adding dazzle. A pink suit with rounded lapels nodded to David Bowie, with a top featuring an illusion of a long bow-tie wrapped around the bust, structured like a couture harness. A black slouchy tuxedo paid homage to Scognamiglio's early years working with Gianni Versace, adorned with jeweled buttons and dazzling necklaces. The black see-through organza gown embellished with hand-cut lace resembling gardenias and finished with volants was a tribute to Valentino Garavani. The collection closed with a sumptuous wedding gown decorated with the same lace appliqués.
