France Culture has released the second season of its musical adaptation of 'Les Malheurs de Sophie', based on the classic children's novel by the Comtesse de Ségur. The series, adapted and directed by Sabine Zovighian, continues the adventures of the mischievous young Sophie. The new episodes are marked by the death of Sophie's parents, a significant plot development. The production blends narrative with musical elements, offering a fresh take on the 19th-century French literary work.
