Forest Lawn Museum Celebrates 75 Years with Landmark Exhibition

To mark the 75th anniversaries of the Hall of Crucifixion-Resurrection, founded in 1951, and the Forest Lawn Museum, opened in 1952, there's a special exhibit titled “75 Years: Art Finds a Home at Forest Lawn.” This showcase includes exclusive photographs from the museum’s archives and newly discovered audio from the original Hall of the Crucifixion program. It also features beloved artworks that haven’t been displayed in nearly a decade. The Forest Lawn Museum boasts a remarkable collection of sculptures, paintings, stained glass, mosaics, and architectural pieces over its six Southern California sites, including a vast stained glass collection with works by Albrecht Dürer and modern artists, highlighting its cultural significance in the region.
