Fontaines D.C. to Release Fifth Album 'Dopamine Chamber'
Fontaines D.C., a Dublin quintet formed in 2014, will release their fifth album, 'Dopamine Chamber,' this month. The band consists of vocalist Grian Chatten, guitarists Conor Curley and Carlos O'Connell, bassist Conor Deegan, and drummer Tom Coll. The album was produced by James Ford, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Blur, and Depeche Mode. The lead single 'Starburster' addresses panic attacks, while 'Marianne' explores emptiness. 'Where Is Gone?' is a duet with Rosalía. The band's 2019 debut 'Dogrel' was nominated for the Mercury Prize, and their fourth album 'Romance' received two Grammy nominations. Despite popularity in the U.K., they have not yet broken through in the U.S. The album's lyrics often deal with isolation and modern malaise.
