Fondazione POMA Liberatutti Summer 2026 Program Focuses on Photography

From June 4 to September 6, 2026, the Fondazione POMA Liberatutti in Pescia, Italy, presents "The Last Photographer – Giovanni Savino," curated by Marta Convalle. The exhibition features a selection of images from Savino's encounters with people and objects that have stood before his cameras. Special emphasis is placed on his portraits with closed eyes, capturing dreams, thoughts, and overlooked facial details. Savino, born in Pistoia, spent significant time abroad, first in England and then in the United States, effectively becoming a New Yorker. His career path included aspirations as a trumpet player, acoustic engineer, and documentary filmmaker before settling on photography.
