Folk Aesthetic Takes Over Interiors This Summer

A folk-inspired interior design trend is emerging, blending delicate patterns with darker, mythical elements rooted in ancient traditions. UK-based artist Cesca Dvorak creates textiles drawing on Polish heritage, including her Polish Folk Dance print on cushion covers and rugs, inspired by Polish papercutting. Her recent wool rug collection, A Daze Without End, was a collaboration with London-based Shame Studios. Polish artist Karolina Merska specializes in pająki, traditional straw and paper chandeliers, and exhibited at Copenhagen's 3 Days of Design.
