Flowers Gallery Landscape Show Blends Real and Reimagined Nature

Flowers Gallery presents a group exhibition exploring landscape painting as both a traditional subject and a vehicle for personal expression. The show features works by Tai Shan Schierenberg, William Crozier, Lucy Jones, Tom Phillips, and Ken Currie, among others. Schierenberg, Crozier, and Jones push color boundaries, using vivid hues to convey emotion rather than literal representation. Tom Phillips's 2012 collage 'Road to Alice Springs' evokes the Australian climate through jewel-like shards that create an abstracted mirage. Ken Currie's 2022 painting 'Still Night' depicts a foreboding, dark becalmed sea.
