Florence Ostende named director of artistic programs at Guggenheim Bilbao
Florence Ostende has been selected as the new director of artistic programs at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. She arrives from Mudam Luxembourg, where she directed the artistic department for two years. Prior to that, Ostende spent eight years at the Barbican Art Gallery in London, where she curated major exhibitions, including works by artists such as Francis Alÿs and Carrie Mae Weems. Her previous roles include adjunct curator at Dallas Contemporary and teaching at HEAD Genève.
