Flexform Presents Dual Exhibition 'The Private Lives of Objects' During Milan Design Week

Italian furniture manufacturer Flexform will present a two-part exhibition titled 'The Private Lives of Objects' during Milan Design Week from April 21 to 26. The event will take place in two locations: the outdoor collection will be displayed in Chiostro Sant'Angelo, a private courtyard near Via della Moscova, while the indoor furnishings will be featured at the company's Milan flagship store nearby. The exhibition explores the concept that furniture serves purposes beyond mere functionality, acting as extensions of personal identity and repositories for memories. Central to the presentation is a new collection designed by Antonio Citterio, who has collaborated with Flexform for over five decades, along with contributions from designers Patrick Norguet, Fumie Shibata, and other new partners. The installations aim to demonstrate how objects witness daily life and receive emotional attachment. This philosophical approach positions design as integral to human experience rather than simply utilitarian. The dual-venue format invites visitors to explore both indoor and outdoor design contexts during the international design event.
