Flavio de Marco's 'P. I. N.' Chronicles 100 Italian 20th-Century Painters
Flavio de Marco, a writer and artist, has released 'P. I. N. Pittori Italiani del Novecento' (Quodlibet, 2026), a comprehensive 600-page exploration of 100 Italian 20th-century painters, each illustrated by a piece from a specific year. The book opens with Pellizza da Volpedo's 'Il roveto o Tramonto' (1900) and concludes with Renato Mambor's 'Osservatore, attimo in cui non c’è pensiero' (1999). De Marco, a contributor to 'Antinomie', organizes the text around the acronym P. I. N., connecting artworks to the lives of their creators. This volume, part of Quodlibet's Fabula Picta series, is set to be unveiled on June 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Museo Regionale d’Arte Contemporanea in Palermo.
