exhibition · 2026-07-10

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, Denmark, has acquired Snowman (2016) by Swiss duo Fischli/Weiss for its permanent collection. The work, a snowman inside a freezer powered by solar panels, is now installed in the museum's sculpture park. It is the second piece by the duo to enter the collection. The acquisition was made possible by a donation from the New Carlsberg Foundation. Director Poul Erik Tøjner expressed gratitude to Peter Fischli and the foundation, noting it fulfilled a long-standing ambition. David Weiss passed away in 2012; Peter Fischli oversaw the installation.
