Fiftieth-anniversary reissue of Joel Meyerowitz's 'Cape Light'

Aperture has released a fiftieth-anniversary edition of Joel Meyerowitz's seminal photobook 'Cape Light', featuring entirely remastered prints from new digital scans. The original 1978 publication captured Meyerowitz's shift from street photography to large-format color work on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The new edition includes a preface by the artist and is accompanied by a limited-edition print sale through July 21. Meyerowitz describes the work as a meditative departure from urban chaos, influenced by Edward Hopper's focus on sunlight.
