Faye Toogood's Studio Designs Plant-Based Holy Carrot Restaurant in Historic Spitalfields

Holy Carrot's second plant-based eatery, located in London's Spitalfields Market, showcases an interior crafted by Studio Toogood that pays tribute to the market's Victorian heritage. Highlights of the space include hand-painted mushroom murals, powder-coated steel stools, and linoleum flooring. The primary dining area features three original arched windows and white-tiled walls, complemented by dark wood tables with burnt orange surfaces. Above the bar, a mural reflects "our connection to the earth and the food we eat." The bright orangery extension boasts a unique market entrance and a sandy-hued curtain. Downstairs, the restroom is adorned with glazed red and orange tiles, while the waiting area showcases Toogood's Gummy armchair.
