Fara Homidi Launches Makeup Brand with Lived-In Aesthetic

Fara Homidi, a celebrity makeup artist who has worked with Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Tracee Ellis Ross, has launched her eponymous beauty brand. The brand began at Dover Street Parfums Market in Paris with just two red lipsticks, two nudes, and a lip brush. Homidi's products emphasize smudgeable, buildable textures and cool undertones, inspired by 1990s beauty trends. The packaging is sustainable: lip pencils use FSC-certified wood and aluminum caps. The newest launch, the Essential Blonzer Compact, is a blusher-bronzer hybrid available in three shades. Homidi's approach is rooted in her childhood in Fremont, California, after moving from Afghanistan, where she watched her mother apply makeup at her beauty salon. She later worked at Prescriptives and MAC Cosmetics before assisting industry figures like Lucia Pieroni, Rose-Marie Swift, Wendy Rowe, and Virginia Young.
