Falcam Camera Cage for Hasselblad X2D Adds Hidden AirTag Compartment

Falcam has launched a new camera cage designed for the Hasselblad X2D and X2D II, focusing on both protection and efficiency. Crafted from 6061 aluminum alloy with a hard-anodized coating three times thicker than standard cages, the "Native Guardian" maintains the camera's sleek look while ensuring access to all controls, ports, battery, and memory card slot. A side panel that slides open allows for easy access to shutter release cables and memory cards without needing to remove the cage. The design features an integrated Arca-Swiss compatible baseplate for direct tripod attachment, a removable L-plate for quick transitions from horizontal to vertical, and CMOS alignment marks for accurate positioning with various lenses. Additionally, a hidden compartment secured by a proprietary Y-type security screw can hold an optional Apple AirTag for tracking against theft. There are five attachment points for straps, accommodating those up to 0.5 inches wide. The cage retails for $349 and includes the baseplate, L-plate, and AirTag compartment.
