Exquisite Corpse Exhibition at Not That Deep Gallery Features 24 Artists in Collaborative Body-Part Show

The exhibition 'Exquisite Corpse' ran at Not That Deep Gallery in Bushwick, Brooklyn from February 6 to February 27, 2026. Curated by Sadie Withers, Alina Hoai, and Clayton Harris, the show featured works by 24 artists, each assigned to create a piece representing a specific body part—head, torso, legs, or feet. These were assembled into six vertical arrangements simulating life-sized figures. The curators, recent School of Visual Arts alumni, organized the exhibition by inviting artists to contribute works that were later arranged during installation, embracing a chance-based, experimental approach. The gallery, a basement-level space in a residential area of Bushwick near Kosciuszko Station, is known as an alternative venue for underground art. The exhibition's poster design was inspired by a Spanish-language educational toy. Following the show, Not That Deep Gallery announced its next exhibition, 'I Am Sophie’s Wife,' scheduled to open on March 13, 2026.
