Exhibition 'Selvaggi a Noto' in Bologna Explores Sicilian Landscape Through Art and Film

The exhibition 'Selvaggi a Noto' opens at Alchemilla in Palazzo Vizzani, Bologna, presenting works inspired by a 2024 artist residency near the archaeological site of Noto Antica in Sicily. The project stems from a ten-day stay by artists and curators including Zheng Ningyuan, Claudio Corsello, Alessandro Ferri, Greta Guerrieri, Jimmy Milani, Fulvio Chimento, and Carlotta Minarelli in an abandoned farmhouse. The show features the film 'Sonniveglia' by Zheng Ningyuan, blending documentary and artist film, alongside Ryan William Harris's short 'Amorimì', with video installations and polyphonic audio. Public talks accompany the exhibition, addressing the 1693 earthquake that devastated Noto Antica and broader themes of catastrophe. The exhibition runs from March 20 to March 31, 2026.
