Exhibition 'Looking into the Gaps' Explores Ukrainian War Psyche at Lviv's Jam Factory

The exhibition 'Looking into the Gaps,' curated by Nikita Kadan at the Jam Factory in Lviv, Ukraine, presents a multifaceted exploration of the psychological impact of the ongoing conflict. Featuring works by Vladislav Plisetskiy, Bohdana Kosmina, Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Khimei, Dana Kavelina, and others, the show examines themes of nationalism, identity, trauma, and community. It includes Plisetskiy's 2023 documentary film about his transition from Kyiv's queer anarchist scene to military service, alongside historical works documenting Lviv's art community. The exhibition, which opened in Kyiv in 2024 and has toured internationally, runs through May 17, 2026, offering a portrait of Ukrainian resilience and internal complexities during war.
