EU states push for ban on imports from Israeli settlements

Most European Union countries have called for a proposal to ban imports from Israeli settlements, according to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas. The move targets illegal settlements that undermine the two-state solution, not Israel itself. Kallas stated that banning trade with illegal settlements received the most support during a meeting of EU foreign ministers. Ambassadors have been tasked to advance the work, and ministers agreed to potentially reconvene an extraordinary meeting if necessary.
