Éric Delpont appointed interim director of MACS MTO
The Musée d’art et de culture soufis MTO (MACS MTO) in Chatou, France, has appointed Éric Delpont as interim director, effective September 3, 2026. Delpont, a graduate of the École du Louvre, has been with the Institut du monde arabe since 1985, where he directed the museum and its Islamic art collections. He has served as an administrator of MACS MTO since 2024 and heads its acquisition committee. He succeeds Alexandra Baudelot, who left in March 2025 and was appointed in July 2026 to lead the Centre de création contemporaine Olivier Debré (CCC OD) in Tours. The museum, which opened in 2024, is the first in the world dedicated to Sufism. The announcement was made by Le Journal des Arts on September 3, 2026.
