Emanuela Fanelli debuts as creator and star of HBO Max satire 'Peccato'
On October 2, HBO Max premiered the inaugural episode of 'Peccato,' featuring Emanuela Fanelli, who collaborated with Valerio Vestoso and Giulio Somazzi on the script. This series offers a satirical take on Italy's media landscape, depicting a television crew in 2049 as they create a documentary about Fanelli, who has withdrawn to Valle d'Aosta following a scandal. It includes fabricated interviews with real Italian figures and fictional shows, with prominent guests like Alessandro Borghi and Paola Cortellesi. Fanelli's rise to fame accelerated after her performances in 'Non essere cattivo' (2015) and 'Dov'è Mario?' (2016), leading to significant roles in films such as 'Siccità' (2022) and 'C'è ancora domani' (2023), earning her two David di Donatello awards.
