Elisabeth Heindl Transforms Wiesbaden's Brutalist St. Mauritius Church with Site-Specific Installation 'passaggi'

Elisabeth Heindl, an artist from Munich, has unveiled a site-specific installation named 'passaggi' at St. Mauritius Church in Wiesbaden, under the curation of Dr. Simone Husemann. This exhibition reimagines the church space into a dynamic interplay of color and motion, leading guests from a deep blue section to a lively yellow area referred to as 'small gold,' finishing at the altar. Created over a span of four months, these works are uniquely tailored to the church's architecture and will not be displayed elsewhere. Organized by the 'Kirche und Kultur' initiative, the installation delves into themes of transitions and existential journeys, featuring the centerpiece 'Vis-à-vis.' The exhibition runs until May 14, 2024, with events including artist discussions and a concluding dance performance on that date.
