Edyta Hul's 'Materia From The Land' Art Book Opens for Pre-Order from Snap Collective

Warsaw-based painter Edyta Hul has turned her studio practice into a softcover volume titled Materia From The Land, issued by Snap Collective in English and now open for pre-order while production continues. The cover carries olive and ochre ribbons of paint; publisher previews show loose blue lines opening onto dense, swelling grey, teal and green forms, with some spreads devoted to a single image and others letting painted marks run across both pages. Hul works in oil and enamel on canvas, attending to overlooked details of everyday surroundings and moving away from figuration toward elaborate, sometimes tangled structures. The book's shifts in colour and scale from page to page make that process legible in a way a single painting on a wall cannot.
